Finding Charities on WellFunded

Are you looking for a specific charity? Here’s how it works.

Even if a charity hasn’t created a profile on WellFunded, you can still find them in our system.

For example, if you search for the Red Cross, you’ll see a basic profile that we’ve pre-filled using publicly available data from their CRA filings.

We also use AI to rewrite technical descriptions into something more donor-friendly, giving you a clearer sense of the charity’s mission and work. These profiles may include:

• Summary of the charity’s activities
• Financials from the past three years
• Basic contact information

If you’d like to see that charity build a full profile on WellFunded, simply click “Ask this charity to join WellFunded.” This sends a nudge to our team, and we’ll reach out to the charity to invite them to sign up. 

For charities, joining WellFunded is free and most organizations respond quickly.

Once they join, they can complete a full profile and run a WellCheck, giving you a deeper view into their work and funding readiness.
