Yes! WellConnect allows you to create fully custom grant opportunities with your specific questions while still receiving standardized charity profiles. Think of it like LinkedIn for grants - charities provide their standard information, then answer your unique questions. You get consistency and customization without losing what makes your foundation unique.

How does WellFunded integrate with our existing grant management system?

In some cases, WellFunded can replace your existing system, and in some cases it complements your existing system. We handle charity intelligence and due diligence, pledging, multi-year commitments, notes on charities, lists and much more. However many Foundations still want a CMS - which at the moment we don't have. Custom integrations are available for enterprise clients.

How many Canadian charities are in the database?

WellFunded includes all 85,000 registered Canadian charities with complete CRA financial data. We've also processed thousands of annual reports to extract impact information and created detailed profiles for 1,000+ organizations. Furthermore, we have charities creating profiles to continue to flesh out the data. We're continuously expanding our deep-profile coverage while maintaining searchability across the entire charitable sector.

I give with my Donor-Advised Fund like CharityVest, Fidelity DAF, CanadaGives, Charitable Impact (Chimp), GiftFunds or Abundance. Can I use your product?

These are great tools for tax-efficient giving, but they don’t always standardize the grant process or provide insight into a charity’s leadership, needs, and long-term plans. Our tool complements—and in some cases integrates with—Donor Advised Funds, allowing you to continue using your DAF while gaining deeper insights, support, and assistance by adding a WellFunded account to your giving strategy.

What information do charities need to provide?

Charities create one comprehensive profile on WellFunded including their mission, programs, financials, governance structure, and impact metrics. This profile is reusable across all funders - charities build it once, then apply to multiple grant opportunities by answering each foundation's custom questions. We pull financial data directly from CRA filings to reduce their administrative burden. We list all 85,000 charities on WellFunded.
