How to Get Involved in DAF Day Canada

We’re thrilled to help host DAF Day in Canada. We believe generosity needs structure and the scaffolding around charitable work—donors, advisors, DAF sponsors—matter now more than ever. 

This post is about the how.

DAF Day isn’t meant to be another complicated campaign. It’s meant to be easy to join, open-source, and designed for real-world capacity. Whether you’re a DAF provider, a wealth advisor, a nonprofit leader, or simply someone who believes in what giving can do.

So what is DAF Day, exactly?

DAF Day Canada (October 9, 2025) is a national moment to:

• Encourage DAF holders to recommend a grant.
• Support charities in becoming “DAF-ready.”
• Equip advisors with language to deepen giving conversations.
• Offer DAF sponsors a coordinated voice to show leadership in generosity.

Moreover, we want to stand in solidarity with those on the frontline to do what we can as we all face these uncertain times.

How You Can Get Involved (In 15 Minutes or Less)

If you’re a Wealth Advisor:

• Reach out to 2-3 clients who already have DAFs.
• Invite them to recommend a grant to a charity they care about.
• Use our sample messaging to make it simple

If you’re a Charity:

• Make sure your full legal name and CRA number is easy to find on your site.
• Add “Give via DAF” to your “Ways to Give” page.
• Claim or update your profile on WellFunded.io to be more discoverable by DAF donors.

If you’re a DAF Sponsor / Admin:

• Share the campaign with your donors in your voice.
• Upload your logo to be featured on the site as a supporter.
• Link your own resources—we’ll include them under our Donor Tools section.

If you’re a Donor:

• Log into your DAF account and recommend a grant.
• Share your pledge (anonymously or publicly) via WellFunded.io.
• Tell a friend, advisor, or family member why you’re giving this week.

Why It Matters

We want to build a better benevolence. One where generosity is informed and inspired. We hope that DAF Day Canada can act as a moment to:
